Our production
Herbia Ltd. is the only company in Georgia with GlobalGAP certificate.
During non-seasonal period (October-May) the company grows vegetable crops like dill, parsley, coriander, celery, lettuce (lollo rosa, lollo bionda, etc.), rucola, chives, green onion, basil, mint, basil, cucumber, tomato, aubergines, paprika and others. The product is destined to be sold on local market as well as be exported to international markets.
The company frequently participates in various international exhibition and so far presented its products: in Berlin (three times), in Frankfurt, in Kiev (three times), Poznan, Chicago and etc. At all time the products of the company earned highly positive evaluation and huge interest.
The company works with its partners on contract basis in the following way:
5-6 days prior to shipment (the loading lasts 1-2 days) the agreement is reached with the customer regarding the range of product, quantity and price. As a next step the vegetables are being prepared for export.
The product can be shipped either by air or land transport in refrigerated trucks.
Two methods of packaging are used:
- 50-80-100 gr. bunches of herbs are packed in cardboard boxes. One such box contains 1-1.3 kg of herbs. The boxes are then stored on Euro pallets or in big cardboard boxes.
- 150-300 gr. bunches of herbs are packed in big cardboard boxes which in total contain 20-30 kg of herbs. In order to maintain the quality of the product the ice briquettes are used. This type of packaging is relatively cheaper than the first option.
